Having read only the first sentence of your post, I was expecting the altar ego in the painting to be a depiction of the way the artist hoped/expected to be worshipped...... lol. I did spend far too much time with a would-be artist, in my 20s......

Agreeing with you totally that your version of the sacrificial sort of altar ego would be a fabulous addition to my life, too!


I didn't know you were a violinist!


I can't, even by the most generous of admirers, be called a violinist. I just started learning a couple of years ago, and I really cannot play. It's more a wish-fulfilment activity than a musical one.
